More Soap, Lotion and Craft Fairs!

We have more soap this week!  Thanks Josh!  He made us some Bacon Soap!  Yes, you heard me right, Bacon!  And it really smells like bacon!  It even looks like bacon!  See the picture above!  He also made some of The Duke soap!  I love The Duke, it smells like leather and sage!  Fantastic!  Below is a picture of it cooking!  We do most of our soaps Hot Process!  That way we can have a lot of it done in a short amount of time.  I don't like it hanging out for a few weeks not being able to be used!  I am an instant gratification type of girl!  We have a Cowgirl Soap too!  It smells like Leather and Lavender!  Even better!  This means I will be wrapping a billion little soaps again!  Okay, maybe not a billion but it sure feels like it!

I have been working on lotion bars!  I made some super yummy ones with coconut oil, olive oil, unrefined Shea butter, doTERRA Citrus Bliss Essential Oil Blend and of course some beeswax from our local beekeepers!  We love our local bee farm!  We buy all our honey and wax from them! Plus, we like to buy as much local stuff as we can!  I will be making more lotion bars this week for the craft fair!  I think I will do some that are unscented, I love the sweet smell of the beeswax and Shea butter!  When I figure this out a little better, I will put up a super easy recipe for our friends that would rather make their own!  I have also tried some regular lotion but it doesn't seem to go as well as the bars!

We have a lot of new soaps in the store be sure to check them out!  They are: Hemmingway, Working Man Soap (not just for the auto shop, great for after garden work), Calendula (great for sensitive skin, even a baby), Garden Mint (need I say more), Charcoal (smells so good, you have to smell it to believe it), Lemongrass (who doesn't love the smell of lemongrass?), and then we have remade so of our favorites!  Cowgirl, The Duke, and of course, Bacon!

This craft fair, our sister will be in town, she will be helping me out! Our husbands will take care of the kids!  Thank you husbands!  Should be fun, for us!  We will be at the Worland Community Center from 9 to 3!  If you are in town come by and say hi!  I hear there will be a Kid's Carnival and lots of vendors!  If you are not in Worland, stop by the website!

The Day After A Craft Fair!

We had a craft fair yesterday!  Very exhausting!  We sold a few bars of soap, made some new friends and got some new customers!  Not to mention, we bought a few things, I love RADA knives!  I felt a lot more prepared for this event.  I got the change the day before, I had a lot of product, bags, cash register, business cards, water, and a lot of helpers!  The lots of helpers is the part I felt I could have done without.  As much as I love my children, it is so hard to work while you have kids with you.  We are working hard to get ready for the next craft fair, on the 27th and filling requests for more products!  We will be having a couple of main scents and then have some seasonal scents.  This week I will be working on lotion bars (these will be permanent), hand crème and some bath bombs (these are also a permanent item)!  My brother and business partner will be working on some soaps.  They will be on the website, as soon as they are done!   I just added the new soaps from this weekend onto the website and of course the pictures won't load, so forgive me and go shop!
We have also recently changed our  soap packaging and labels!  I thought wrapping each soap with a brown packaging paper, but after wrapping a couple hundred bars of soap, I decided to go with cigar band type wrapping!  Above is one of the fully wrapped bars!  At right, are the cigar band type!  They both look great!  Both are some of our wonderful new scents! Lets do a give away!  Leave a comment & on April 13, 2013, we will randomly choose one person to receive two of our new scents!
